THE MONTAGUE - MONTAGUE STREET IN WORTHING - CHARITY INITIATIVE

Lee Mills and Gareth Rees, purchased the lease of The Montague public house on Montague Street in Worthing, five months ago.

After negotiating with the landlord, Admiral Taverns have agreed to invest up to 250k to refurbish this pub.

Lee and Gareth have worked tirelessly for five months to clean up the venue and rid the pub of its previous problems.  they have implemented a zero tolerance policy to drugs and violence.

Over the last five months, the trade at The Montague has increased substantially.  Lee and Gareth have always supported local business and charities, raising money over the Christmas period for The Queen Alexandra.

Lee and Gareth are about to launch a NEW INITIATIVE that will show their commitment to supporting local charities.

From Monday 17th March, for EVERY drink purchased at The Montague, they will be donating 1p to charity.  There will be four charities to benefit through the year, changing every quarter.  The first charity to benefit will be Chestnut Tree House.

The Montague has just agreed to sponsor both The Splash FM ' What on guide' and The More Music Variety Event to be held at The Pavilion Theatre in May.  Splash FM will be advertising this new initiative as part of the sponsorship.

The reason behind the NEW Initiative is to cement its position within the local community.  Lee and Gareth want The Montague, to be a pub for local people that shows its support for local businesses and charities.
